Gutridge, Beller and Halvorson Earn Frontier Conference Weekly Football Honors

Nick Huntimer | Frontier Conference | Sep 14, 2026

HELENA, Mont. - Standout performances on offense, defense and special teams lifted Kallen Gutridge of Eastern Oregon, Kellan Beller of Montana Tech and Nik Halvorson of Dickinson State (N.D.) to the latest Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week honors on Sept. 14, 2026. Each athlete played a central role in a decisive victory Sept. 12, combining production with the poise and leadership needed to make an impact in key moments.

Gutridge, a sophomore quarterback from Wilsonville, Oregon, earned Offensive Player of the Week after directing Eastern Oregon to a 51-17 road victory over Whitworth (Wash.). He completed 25 of 36 passes for 321 yards and four touchdowns, posting a 69.4 completion percentage and a 175.5 passing efficiency rating. Gutridge also carried seven times for 39 yards and another touchdown, finishing with 360 yards of total offense and accounting for five scores in the Mountaineers’ 34-point win. The honor is the first Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award of his career.

Beller, a senior linebacker from Stevensville, Montana, anchored another dominant effort by No. 5 Montana Tech in a 34-7 road win over No. 18 Montana Tech. He recorded a team-high eight tackles, including five solo stops and three assists, while adding his first interception of the season. Beller’s leadership helped the Orediggers hold the Bulldogs to their fewest points since 2012, earn their first victory in Dillon since 2022 and improve to 3-0. It is also Beller’s first career conference weekly honor.

Halvorson delivered a flawless kicking performance to claim Special Teams Player of the Week in Dickinson State’s 44-13 home victory over Montana State-Northern. The freshman kicker from Bottineau, North Dakota, made field goals from 27, 33 and 19 yards and converted all five extra-point attempts, accounting for 14 points. Halvorson also handled eight kickoffs for 481 yards, an average of 60.1 yards per kick, with two touchbacks. His consistency across every opportunity earned him the first Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award of his career.

The three first-time honorees made their mark in different ways. Gutridge powered an explosive offense, Beller led a defense that reached a historic benchmark, and Halvorson turned every scoring opportunity into points. Together, their performances showcased the talent, preparation and competitive excellence found across Frontier Conference football.
