CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Gilmour's Boys Varsity Golf team posted its second-best team score of the season Wednesday, finishing seventh among 18 teams with a 315 at the Walsh Jesuit Invitational.

Brody Race led the Lancers with a 77, earning 23rd place out of 89 golfers in the individual standings. Race’s round provided the foundation for a tightly grouped set of counting scores, with Gilmour’s four contributors finishing within four strokes of one another.

Lorenzo Salvatore followed Race with a 78, and Enzo Marous added a 79. Marty Klang completed the team total with an 81. Their rounds combined for Gilmour’s 315, giving the Lancers an average counting score of 78.75 in the 18-team field.

Jack Quinn also competed and carded an 83, finishing only two strokes outside the four scores used for the team total. His round gave Gilmour a fifth score within six shots of its team-leading performance, underscoring the consistency of the lineup throughout the event.

The Lancers' four counting rounds all stayed at 81 or better, allowing the team to secure a top-seven finish while recording one of its strongest totals of the young season.
