In a dominant display of soccer, Gilmour Academy's Lancers triumphed over the Wellington Dukes with a resounding 8-1 victory in the high school sectional final on October 19, 2024. The match, held at Gilmour, showcased the Lancers' offensive and defensive prowess, setting them up for their next challenge in the soccer season.
From the kickoff, Gilmour set a relentless pace, scoring twice within the first 10 minutes, including a critical goal by Evan Saline, who was also responsible for the game-winning goal. The Lancers went into halftime leading 6-0, an insurmountable gap for Wellington, despite their efforts in the second half.
