Four Different Scorers Lift Lancers Past Padua for Third Straight Win

PARMA, Ohio - Four different players scored and Hadley Bashein stopped two penalty kicks as Gilmour Girls Varsity Soccer earned a 4-2 road victory over Padua on Monday evening. The balanced attack and two critical saves carried the Lancers to their third straight win.

Kynzie Campbell and Clara King led the attack with one goal and one assist apiece. Their combined production accounted for two of Gilmour’s four goals and helped create another two, giving Padua multiple threats to track throughout the match. Ashley Batchik also contributed an assist as the Lancers consistently turned their opportunities into goals.

Audrey Hastings and Kelsey Pattison added goals to complete Gilmour’s four-player scoring effort. That distribution allowed the Lancers to withstand Padua’s two goals and maintain the scoring edge.

Gilmour’s defense delivered its biggest plays from the penalty spot. Hadley Bashein made two penalty-kick saves, denying Padua a pair of high-value chances in a match ultimately decided by two goals. Those stops complemented the Lancers’ productive attack and helped secure the road win.

The victory continued Gilmour’s strong run and gave the team momentum heading into its next match.

The Lancers will return home to face North Ridgeville at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5.
