Gilmour Academy Lancers Compete in Pat Ritchie Invitational at Walsh Jesuit High School
The Gilmour Academy Lancers participated in the Maroon Division Varsity Race during the Pat Ritchie Invitational held at Walsh Jesuit High School on September 13, 2025. Competing against a field of 11 schools, the girls' cross country team secured 8th place, tallying 223 points.
Leading the Lancers, Kate Papczun finished 30th, setting the pace for the team. Several team members including Bridget Vitale, Raylyn Todd, Madden Hawn, and Peyton Dreiling achieved season or career-best performances, demonstrating growth and competitiveness. The Lancers displayed strong teamwork and strategic pack running, which was pivotal on the challenging course.
The Lancers are now preparing for their next outing on the same day at Forest Hills Park for the Cleveland Heights McDonough Invitational, aiming to continue their momentum.
