Gilmour Football Beats Hawken 26-21 Behind Nathan Lennon's Three Touchdowns
Gilmour Academy rode a four-touchdown rushing performance to a 26-19 rivalry victory over Hawken on Friday, Sept. 4, at Hawken. RB #16 Nathan Lennon delivered the decisive effort, rushing for 165 yards and three touchdowns as the Lancers earned their second straight win.
The road victory was powered by a productive Gilmour ground game. Nathan Lennon consistently turned carries into meaningful yardage and finished as the game’s standout performer, accounting for three of the Lancers’ four touchdowns. The 165-yard performance gave Gilmour a dependable offensive foundation in a game decided by seven points.
RB #21 Dominic Dunlevy also reached the end zone, adding another touchdown to the Lancers’ total. Together, Nathan Lennon and Dominic Dunlevy supplied all four Gilmour touchdowns and carried the offense through a competitive rivalry matchup.
The Lancers’ defense complemented that rushing production by limiting a high-powered Hawken offense to just 21 points. The Gilmour defense also forced a Hawken fumble and interception in the second half. With the offense generating enough scoring drives to reach 26, Gilmour maintained the margin needed to secure an important road victory.
The Lancers travel to Lake Catholic High School in Week 4 of the regular season to face the Cougars on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
