Gilmour Girls Soccer Scores 10 in First Home Win Over Warren JFK
GATES MILLS, Ohio - Gilmour Girls Varsity Soccer broke through for its first win of the season with a 10-3 home victory over Warren JFK on Aug. 17. A game-high four-goal performance powered a Lancers attack that recorded 10 goals and nine assists, turning its scoring depth into the decisive factor.
Audrey Hastings led the attack with four goals and one assist, accounting for nearly half of Gilmour's scoring while also creating a goal for a teammate. The four-goal effort was the match's top individual performance and set the pace for the Lancers' highest-output showing of the young season.
Kelsey Pattison and Clara King each scored twice and supplied an assist, giving Gilmour three players with multiple goals. Anni Franks added a goal and two assists, while Gabby Merheb rounded out the scoring with one goal. Five different Lancers found the net as the team consistently converted its opportunities.
Gilmour's passing was just as productive. Kynzie Campbell contributed two assists, and Ari Fedeli and Lily Detzel each set up a goal. Combined with the assists from Hastings, Pattison, King and Franks, that distribution kept the attack from depending on a single creator. Warren JFK scored three times, but the Lancers' sustained production preserved a comfortable margin.
The 10-3 result gave the Lancers their first victory of the season and their first win at home.
