Gilmour Lancers Make Waves at Swim Meet Against Mags and Iggy
In a closely contested swim meet on December 7, 2024, the Gilmour Academy Lancers faced off against rivals Magnificat and St. Ignatius in dual meets, showcasing some standout performances despite the tough competition. The Gilmour women's team narrowly missed victory with a score of 88-81 against Magnificat, while the men's team faced a challenging contest, concluding with a score of 120-50 against St. Ignatius.
Standout Lancer swimmer Lorelai Kaufman secured wins in both the 200IM and the 100 Breaststroke, bringing much pride to Gilmour Academy. These performances highlighted the depth of talent within the Lancers' ranks despite the day's tough outcomes. Currently, both the women's and the men's teams hold a balanced record of 1-1 as they look to their next meet.
Looking ahead, the Lancers will welcome Lake Catholic to Gilmour Academy on December 10, 2024. This upcoming meet promises another opportunity for the team to showcase their skills, improve on their record, and continue their strong season in both the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels.
