Hastings' Hat Trick Powers Lancers Past Beaumont 4-0
GATES MILLS, Ohio - Audrey Hastings delivered the decisive performance Wednesday night, scoring three goals as Gilmour shut out Beaumont 4-0 at home. The victory during CYO & Youth Night improved the Lancers to 5-1-1 on the season.
Hastings' hat trick accounted for three of Gilmour's four goals and gave the Lancers the finishing touch needed to pull away. Clara King added the other goal, providing another threat in a balanced Gilmour attack. Kynzie Campbell and Anni Franks each recorded an assist as the Lancers consistently turned their possession into quality scoring opportunities.
Gilmour complemented its four-goal attack with a complete defensive effort. The Lancers kept Beaumont off the scoresheet throughout the match and limiting the visitors' chances. With the defense holding firm, the attack had room to maintain pressure and build a comfortable advantage.
The shutout added another strong result to Gilmour's early-season record. Hastings provided the standout individual contribution, while King's goal and the assists from Campbell and Franks reflected the range of players involved in the offensive effort.
The Lancers return to the field on Tuesday, September 22 hosting Walsh Jesuit at 7:00 p.m.
