JV Lancers Defeat Shaker Heights and Riverside in Road Tri-Match
Gilmour's JV Boys Golf team placed all four counting scores in the 40s and defeated Shaker Heights and Riverside 180-182-186 on Tuesday at Highland Park Golf Course. The Lancers’ balanced lineup proved decisive in the tri-match victory.
Braden Minotas led Gilmour Academy with a 42, the team’s lowest round of the match. That performance gave the Lancers an important foundation in a contest decided by a narrow margin. Keegan Wintersteller followed with a 45, keeping the team total on pace as the scores were compiled.
The rest of the lineup provided the consistency Gilmour Academy needed. Paul Fox carded a 46, and Parker Williams completed the scoring with a 47. Only six strokes separated the Lancers’ four counting rounds, and each player finished below 50.
The Lancers did not need to rely on one score alone, as each member of the scoring group delivered a round that counted toward the victory.
