JV Lancers Place Fourth With 336 at CVCA JV Invitational
CANTON, Ohio - Gilmour's JV Boys Golf team placed fourth in a 17-team field Monday at the CVCA JV Invitational, combining four counting scores for a team total of 336.
Luke Woodhouse led the Lancers with an 82, the team’s low round of the tournament. Paul Fox followed closely with an 83, while Carter Slife added an 85 to give Gilmour three counting rounds within three strokes of one another.
Alex Pikovskiy completed the team score with an 86. The rounds of 82, 83, 85 and 86 added up to Gilmour Academy’s 336, with only four strokes separating the lowest and highest scores in the counting group. That consistency helped the Lancers secure a top-four finish against a large invitational field.
Braden Minotas finished the day with a 104. Although that round did not count toward the four-player team total, the Lancers received a complete five-player effort during the event.
The fourth-place result gave the JV Lancers a strong finish in the 17-team competition. With four counting players breaking 90 and the top three clustered between 82 and 85, the Lancers finished the day with the balanced scoring needed to remain near the front of the standings.
