Gilmour Boys Varsity Golf earned an eight-stroke victory over NDCL on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as the Lancers posted a team score of 168 to NDCL's 176 at Fowler's Mill Golf Course. The result improved the Lancers to 2-0 in dual match play.

Brody Race led the Lancers with a team-low round of 40. His score provided the foundation for a consistent lineup that kept every player within five strokes of the team's top mark.

Lorenzo Salvatore and Luke Woodhouse followed Race with matching rounds of 42. Those two scores gave the Lancers three cards at 42 or better and helped create the separation they needed in the final team total.

The remaining counting score came from one of the Lancers' two rounds of 44. Enzo Marous and Marty Klang each finished at that number, giving Gilmour Academy flexibility at the final counting position. Race's 40, the two 42s and a 44 combined for the winning total of 168.

Iulius Braho completed the lineup with a 45. Five of the six Lancers shot 44 or better, while all six finished between 40 and 45. That compact scoring range proved important as Gilmour finished with a two-stroke advantage per counting card over NDCL's 176 total.

With two dual-match wins in two starts, the Lancers will carry an unbeaten record into their next competition.
