Lancers Execute Balanced Effort in 11–6 Win Over Boardman

Gilmour Academy delivered a well-rounded performance in their 11–6 victory against D-1 Boardman, showcasing both offensive firepower and defensive discipline throughout four quarters of play. Midfielders Gabe O’Connor and Jack Soeder each contributed two goals, providing reliable scoring from the midfield. Attackmen Aedan Aerni and Riordan Sjovold continued to lead the offensive charge — Aerni tallied 3 goals and 2 assists, while Sjovold notched 3 goals and 4 assists, facilitating ball movement and finishing with efficiency. On the defensive end, long-stick midfielder Grant Baucher anchored the effort, collecting 6 ground balls and causing 2 turnovers, helping to tilt possession in Gilmour’s favor and disrupt Boardman’s offensive rhythm. “We saw some positive steps today,” said Head Coach Jenkins. “There were moments of strong execution, but we still have plenty to clean up. The focus remains on getting better every day.” With the win, the Lancers improve to 4–1 on the season and gain confidence heading into their next matchup — a rivalry showdown Tuesday at home vs. Kenston (JV 5pm & Varsity 7pm)
