Lancers Finish Regular Season Strong, Set to Host Lake in Playoff Opener Thursday

The Gilmour Lancers wrapped up their regular season with two impressive wins—highlighted by a hard-fought rivalry victory and a come-from-behind performance that showcased the team’s heart and resilience. Tuesday Night – Rivalry Win Over University School Tuesday’s matchup against longtime rival University School was a great display of teamwork and determination, as the Lancers secured a 9–7 win. Gabe O’Connor sparked the offense with two goals, while Aeden Aerni added 2 goals and an assist. Max Ritt also chipped in 2 goals and an assist, and Riordan Sjovold guided the offense with 3 assists and a goal of his own. On the defensive end, Alex Cleary made a big impact with 6 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers, shutting down US’s scoring opportunities. Manning Ritt was outstanding in goal, finishing with 14 saves and providing a steady presence all night. Saturday – Comeback Win Over Green Saturday’s game was a test of the team’s toughness. After trailing early, the Lancers battled back in the second half to earn a 14–10 victory over Green. Riordan Sjovold led the charge with 6 goals and an assist, stepping up when the team needed it most. Aeden Aerni continued his strong week with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Max Ritt added 3 goals and 2 assists, keeping the offense moving. Gabe O’Connor added another 2 goals, helping to complete the comeback. Coach Jenkins on the Team’s Performance: "I’m proud of how the team showed grit and resilience this week. Both wins were team efforts, and Saturday’s comeback was a true testament to our character. We’re ready for the playoff challenge ahead." Playoffs Begin Thursday Night With a first-round bye under their belt, the Lancers are set to host Lake High School this Thursday at 7:00 PM in the second round of the playoffs.
