PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Gilmour's JV Boys Golf team posted a score of 183 in a 166-183 loss to Mentor on Tuesday, Sept. 8. at Blackbrook Golf Course.

Carter Slife and Paul Fox led the Lancers with matching rounds of 45. Their scores were the lowest among Gilmour’s listed finishers and gave the lineup two steady performances at the top of the card.

Parker Williams followed one stroke behind with a 46, placing three Lancers within a single shot of one another. That close grouping highlighted Gilmour’s most consistent stretch of scoring and kept the team’s leading individual totals in the mid-40s.

Liam McCrone added a 54 to complete the listed individual results. The four reported Lancers scores ranged from 45 to 54, with the two 45s from Carter Slife and Paul Fox setting the team’s individual pace.

Mentor finished with the lower team total, recording a 166 to Gilmour’s 183. The 17-stroke margin separated the teams on a day when scoring depth proved decisive, despite three Gilmour golfers finishing at 46 or better.

The result gave the Lancers a clear measure of where strokes can be gained in future matches. With two golfers tied for the team’s low round and another only one shot back, Gilmour left Mentor with a tightly grouped trio at the front of its lineup.
