Lancers Pull Away Late but Leave Room to Improve in 12–8 Win Over Hawken

Gilmour picked up a another in-region road win over Hawken, 12–8, thanks to a dominant third-quarter surge. The Lancers exploded for a 6-goal run after halftime to take control of the game. Riordan “Mooch” Sjovold led the way with 5 goals and 2 assists, while Gabe O’Connor and Max Ritt each added 3 goals. Aedan Aerni facilitated the offense with 3 assists, and in net, Manning Ritt came up big with 10 saves. The complete team effort keeps Gilmour rolling in the region. Looking forward, Gilmour Academy, now holding a record of 3-1, will face Boardman High School in their next game on April 24 at 7pm in Boardman. The team aims to address their previous inconsistencies and bring the same level of high-energy play as they demonstrated in the victorious third quarter against Hawken.
