Lancers Shut Out Hoban 3-0 for Second Straight Road Win
AKRON, Ohio - Gilmour Girls Varsity Soccer earned their second straight road victory with a 3-0 shutout of Archbishop Hoban on Wednesday, September 30, in Akron, Ohio. Anni Franks supplied the connecting thread in the Lancers’ attack, assisting on all three goals as three different players contributed to the scoring.
Kynzie Campbell, Ari Fedeli and Lily Detzel each scored once, giving Gilmour contributions from multiple finishers. Their goals accounted for the full scoring margin, while Franks finished with three assists. That combination of shared finishing and a consistent provider defined the Lancers’ offensive production in the road victory.
At the other end, Hadley Bashein recorded six saves to help secure the shutout. Bashein’s work in goal complemented the three-goal attack and ensured Hoban finished without a goal. The Lancers paired their scoring contributions with a clean sheet, keeping the hosts off the scoreboard rather than relying on offense alone.
The result extended Gilmour’s road winning streak to two matches. Campbell, Fedeli and Detzel supplied the goals, but Franks’ involvement in every scoring play and Bashein’s six saves gave the Lancers key contributions at both ends of the field.
Gilmour next travels to Highland High School seeking a third consecutive road victory, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m.
