Lennon Leads Gilmour Academy to 55-14 Senior Night Win
GATES MILLS, Ohio - Gilmour Academy defeated John Marshall 55-14 on Senior Night on Friday, Oct. 9, at home, powered by Nathan Lennon's 183 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Lancers finished with 449 yards of total offense.
Lennon needed just seven carries to produce the game's leading rushing performance, averaging more than 26 yards per attempt. Dominic Dunlevy added 89 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Together, Lennon and Dunlevy accounted for 272 rushing yards on 11 attempts, giving Gilmour substantial production without a heavy workload for either runner.
The scoring contributions extended well beyond those two backs. Jacob Doss rushed three times for 34 yards and a touchdown, while Gabe Haberman gained 22 yards on four carries and scored once. Ryan Detzel turned a single carry into 13 yards and another touchdown. Those five runners combined for 341 yards and seven rushing touchdowns on 19 carries.
Gilmour also found the end zone through the air. Tyler Poszgai completed the lone passing attempt for an 18-yard touchdown to Bruno Cook, adding a passing score to an attack whose listed rushing contributors all reached the end zone.
Bruno Cook contributed five tackles and a touchdown, while Dylan Davis recorded three tackles as the Lancers held John Marshall to 14 points. Gilmour Football next faces Rhodes in Week 9 in their final home game of the regular season.
