Pattison’s Two Goals Lift Gilmour Past North Royalton, 3-2

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio - Kelsey Pattison scored twice, with Audrey Hastings assisting on both goals, as Gilmour earned a 3-2 road victory over North Royalton on Saturday night. Pattison’s two-goal performance provided the decisive margin in a closely contested match and helped the Lancers improve to 6-2-1.

Hastings drove Gilmour’s attack throughout the match, finishing with one goal and two assists. Her involvement in all three Lancers goals gave North Royalton’s defense a consistent challenge, while Pattison capitalized twice to complete her brace. Clara King also recorded an assist, adding another contribution to a balanced offensive effort.

North Royalton scored twice and continued to pressure Gilmour, but goalkeeper Hadley Bashein protected the one-goal advantage with a season-high nine saves. Her work in goal proved essential as the Lancers’ defense faced enough pressure to require repeated stops. Bashein’s performance allowed Gilmour’s three-goal output to stand and secured the road result.

The victory gave the Lancers another positive result away from home and pushed their record four games above .500. Pattison’s finishing, Hastings’ playmaking and scoring, King’s assist and Bashein’s season-best save total combined to carry Gilmour through a match decided by a single goal.

Gilmour continues its road schedule Wednesday, Sept. 30, with a 7 p.m. match at Archbishop Hoban. The Lancers will look to build on the North Royalton victory and the attacking combination that produced three goals.
