Pikovskiy's 40 Leads JV Lancers to 170-189 Victory Over Solon
SOLON, Ohio - Alex Pikovskiy shot a team-low 40 to lead Gilmour's JV Boys Golf team to a 170-189 victory over Solon on Tuesday afternoon. The Lancers placed four golfers at 45 or better and finished with a 19-stroke advantage.
Madden Pellegrini followed Pikovskiy with a 41, giving Gilmour two of its four counting scores in the low 40s. Parker Williams added a 44, while Keegan Wintersteller completed the team total with a 45. Those four rounds combined for the Lancers' winning score of 170.
Gilmour's depth extended beyond its counting group. Paul Fox recorded a 47, finishing only seven strokes behind the Lancers' low round. All five listed Gilmour golfers broke 50, and the five scores were separated by just seven strokes from top to bottom.
The Lancers' consistent scoring created the difference against Solon. Pikovskiy and Pellegrini combined for an 81, while Williams and Wintersteller contributed an 89. With no counting score higher than 45, Gilmour assembled the balanced team total needed to secure the road result.
The JV Lancers are back in action tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 23 versus NDCL at Fowler's Mill.
