Pikovskiy Shoots 43 as Lancers Fall to St. Vincent-St. Mary
AKRON, Ohio - Alex Pikovskiy shot a team-best 43 for Gilmour, but the Lancers’ JV Boys Golf team fell to St. Vincent-St. Mary, 188-212, on Thursday afternoon.
Pikovskiy produced the low round among Gilmour’s top finishers, providing the Lancers with their strongest individual performance of the match. His 43 was four strokes better than Parker Williams’ 47, the team’s second-lowest reported score.
Paul Fox and Braden Minotas each added rounds of 49, giving Gilmour four golfers below 50. The Lancers received steady scoring across that group, with only six strokes separating their lowest and highest reported individual rounds.
St. Vincent-St. Mary finished with the lower team total and secured the match by 24 strokes. Gilmour’s individual results showed some balance, but the Lancers were unable to make up the difference against the hosts over the course of the competition.
Gilmour Boys JV Golf will attempt to get back in the win column against Solon on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Grantwood Golf Course.
