GATES MILLS, Ohio - Dominic Schaffer scored in each half, but Gilmour Academy fell 3-2 to NDCL in their home regular-season finale Thursday, Oct. 15. Both of Schaffer’s goals were unassisted.
Schaffer supplied the Lancers’ first-half goal and added another after halftime, accounting for all of Gilmour’s scoring. His two-goal performance gave the Lancers an offensive contribution in each half, but NDCL finished with the one-goal advantage.
The result closed the Lancers’ regular-season schedule and shifted their attention to postseason play.
Gilmour will remain at home for the opening round of the OHSAA postseason tournament. The Lancers will look to bounce back in their next contest Wednesday, Oct. 21, against Midview.
