HUDSON, Ohio - Luke Woodhouse shot a team-low 81 to lead Gilmour Boys JV Golf to a tie for eighth place at the Hudson JV Invitational on Monday, Aug. 17. The Lancers finished with a four-player team score of 338 in the 18-team field.
Woodhouse set the pace for a balanced Gilmour lineup, with the Lancers’ next two finishers close behind. Alex Pikovskiy recorded an 83, two strokes behind Woodhouse, while Carter Slife added an 84. The three scores within three shots of one another gave Gilmour a steady foundation for its team total.
Paul Fox and Liam McCrone each completed the tournament with a 90. With the matching rounds, one of those scores rounded out the Lancers’ four counting results alongside Woodhouse, Pikovskiy and Slife.
The shared eighth-place finish put Gilmour in the upper half of a crowded invitational field. It was an impressive finish for the Lancers as the lone division II team competing against 17 division I opponents in the tournament.
