Harrisburg High School Celebrates College Commitments on Signing Day

Harrisburg High School celebrated an exciting milestone as members of the 2026 graduating class shared plans to continue their academic and athletic careers at the college level. The Signing Day recognition included Christian Baird, Jaedyn Delahunt, Lily Ridgley and Sierra Clark, highlighting the dedication required to compete beyond high school while pursuing ambitious educational goals.

Jaedyn Delahunt plans to attend Bushnell University in Eugene during the 2026-27 school year. Jaedyn will study Nursing and compete in track and field, carrying a commitment to both athletics and service into the next chapter at Bushnell.

Christian Baird will continue a baseball career at Southwest Oregon Community College in Coos Bay during the 2026-27 school year. Along with joining the college’s baseball program, Christian plans to enter the EMT program and prepare for a career centered on helping others.

Lily Ridgley has mapped out a path that combines service, education and college athletics. After completing a mission trip, Lily plans to enroll at Bushnell University for the 2027-28 school year, study Sports Psychology and compete in track and field. Lily also could become part of Bushnell’s new wrestling program, adding another exciting possibility to the college experience.

Sierra Clark plans to attend Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, in the fall. Clark will study Nursing while continuing her softball career, building on the work that helped her reach the college level. Together, the commitments celebrated on Signing Day reflect the talent, discipline and purpose Harrisburg students will carry into college classrooms and athletic programs.
