Unbeaten Harrisburg Faces No. 3 Kennedy in Ranked League Matchup

Scott Buzzard | Harrisburg High School | Oct 14, 2026

Harrisburg High School (6-0) puts its unbeaten record on the line against the Kennedy Trojans (4-2) in a league football matchup between Oregon’s No. 4 and No. 3 Class 3A teams Friday, Oct. 16, in Harrisburg. The Eagles enter with a 3-0 league record. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PDT, with Harrisburg seeking to protect its perfect start against an opponent ranked one spot higher despite having two losses.

Chase Herrera provides leadership on both offense and defense for the Eagles, making his contributions on each side of the ball a central storyline. In the running game, Braxton Henager brings quickness and elusiveness rather than size. His ability to find space will be an important part of Harrisburg’s challenge against Kennedy’s defensive front, particularly when the Eagles need to turn openings into productive rushing gains.

Kennedy’s Creo Walker presents a test in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Harrisburg’s blocking against Walker will be a key matchup for Henager and the offense, while the Eagles’ defensive front faces the same player when possession changes. Walker’s two-way presence puts line play at the center of the matchup, with Harrisburg needing to create running room on offense and resist Kennedy’s blocking on defense.

Behind that front, Paxton Spike, Harrisburg’s “Honey Badger” in the defensive backfield, is another Eagle to watch. His role gives Harrisburg a defensive storyline beyond the battle at the line of scrimmage. Kennedy also features defensive playmaker Jaden Traeger, adding another challenge for an Eagles offense looking to extend a six-game winning start.
