In a challenging day of tennis on September 10, 2024, the Benson/KMS JV tennis team faced off against the Morris Area Tigers in Morris, falling short in the overall match score of 1-6. Despite the tough results, there were noteworthy performances. The highlight for Benson/KMS came from Lyla Oakes at the number 1 singles spot, securing a hard-fought 9-7 victory. Her performance was a standout amid a series of challenging matches, showing resilience and skill in a tight contest. Doubles team Eva Barrett and Sophia Budd also showed commendable teamwork. Although they lost 6-8, their strategic plays and positive attitude were a testament to their competitiveness and team spirit. Coach Lenz praised the team for their energy and positivity during the matches.
