KMS Schools Varsity Baseball Powers to Victory Against RCW Jaguars
The KMS Schools Fighting Saints varsity baseball team secured an impressive win on May 14 against the RCW Jaguars with a final score of 10-0 on home ground. Lit by the beaming weather, Willy Reigstad Field was the backdrop for a sterling performance from the Fighting Saints. The game commemorated more than just the victory, it was a testament to spirit and skill for the players. On the mound, starting pitcher Luke Jeseritz was pivotal, and it didn't stop there. Jeseritz also contributed to the scoreboard with 2 runs of his own. Engelke added an additional 2 runs and Rudningen brought in 3 more. Not to be outdone, Logan Duke, Clayton Olson, and Evan Zimmer all provided valuable contributions at the plate, with Zimmer's RBIs leading the team's offensive charge. Duke, who tripled, was joined by Olson and Jeseritz, both hitting doubles, in highlighting the power at the plate for the Fighting Saints. Moreover, the game wasn't just about runs and hits - the Saints exhibited their speed with Rudningen stealing an impressive 4 bases and Engelke adding another to the tally. The win bolstered the Fighting Saints' record to 10-6 overall and 8-1 in the conference, marking a solid season performance and setting an optimistic tone for the approaching playoffs.
