Fighting Saints Shut Out Braves in Dominant Football Victory

MURDOCK, MN -- The KMS Fighting Saints 7th grade team secured a commanding win against the Benson Braves with a 24-0 victory this past Tuesday, solidifying their prowess on the field. They showcased a stellar defense and an unstoppable rushing game in the regular season face-off. KMS had already set a challenging pace for Benson by halftime, leading with a score of 16-0. By the final whistle, they extended their lead without allowing the Braves any scoring opportunities. Jonathan Molenaar starred in the victory, scoring all three touchdowns for KMS. His performance included a 37-yard, 17-yard, and 3-yard dash to the end zone, followed by successful two-point conversions, each similarly helmed by Molenaar himself. The synergy between Molenaar and Eli Finstrom, who also contributed to the two-point conversions, was a key aspect of their game strategy. Coach DeBaere praised the team's effort, particularly highlighting the offensive line: "Our ground game was dominate today. The offensive line deserves credit for creating room for Molenaar to run." This victory brings the Fighting Saints' season record to 2 wins and 3 losses. Looking forward, the Fighting Saints are set to host the ACGC Falcons on October 3rd in Murdock.
