KMS Schools is celebrating a standout day for its student artists after a strong showing at the Region 3AA festival. Eva and Yudany each earned Excellent ratings on their pieces, meaning their work scored at least 17 out of 20 and placed them among the day’s notable performers.

The biggest haul belonged to Mia, who turned in one of the top performances at the event. She earned six Superior ratings, awarded for scores of 19 or 20 out of 20, and added three Best in Show honors from a field of at least 80 pieces. By the end of the awards presentation, Mia was the most decorated artist in Region 3AA, collecting so many medals that she jingled as she walked across the floor for each new award.

It was the kind of result that reflects both talent and dedication, and it gave the KMS community plenty to cheer about. The success of Eva, Yudany and Mia highlights the strength of the school’s art program and the creativity students continue to bring to the regional stage.

Mia’s day is not over yet. With her performance at Region 3AA, she has advanced to the State Festival, which will be held May 9 at Wayzata High School.
