KMS Fighting Saints 7th Grade Faces Setback Against MACCRAY Wolverines in Football Clash
On September 17, 2024, the KMS Fighting Saints 7th grade team faced a challenging game against the MACCRAY Wolverines in Maynard. Despite their efforts, the Fighting Saints ended the regular season game with a final score of 8-34, marking a tough defeat at the hands of the Wolverines. Throughout the first half, KMS struggled to mound an effective defense against MACCRAY, ending the halftime at a score of 8-22. Jonathan Molenaar was a standout for KMS, scoring a remarkable 38-yard rushing touchdown and successfully completing a two-point conversion. However, these efforts were not enough to bridge the gap against the powerful MACCRAY team. Reflecting on the game, Coach DeBaere voiced his concerns about the team's performance. "This game did not show our best effort. We were slow and not aggressive enough," he stated, promising a focused preparation for the upcoming game. "We will look to improve for Thursday's game." Looking forward, the KMS Fighting Saints are now tuning their strategies for their next challenge against the Paynesville Bulldogs on September 19, 2024, in Murdock.
