KMS Fighting Saints 8th Grade Team Seals a Dominant Victory Against MACCRAY Wolverines

On September 17, 2024, the KMS Fighting Saints demonstrated a remarkable display of skill and strategy, shutting out the MACCRAY Wolverines with a final score of 14-0 in a regular season football game held in Maynard. The Fighting Saints, led by their sterling defensive plays and effective offense, improved their record to an undefeated 3-0. From the beginning, the Fighting Saints set the tone with a halftime lead of 6-0, courtesy of Hayden Duke's 3-yard rush. The second half saw further excitement as Rex Nelson connected with Eero Nelson on a 7-yard touchdown pass, followed by a successful 2-point conversion by Tucker Wilts. The team's defensive unit was equally impressive, amassing a total of 7 sacks throughout the game. Eero Nelson spearheaded the defense with 3 sacks, followed by contributions from Hayden Duke, Kalan VanHeuveln, Elijah Marquardt, and Corbin Nystrom, who each recorded a sack.
