The KMS Schools boys varsity basketball team, known as the Fighting Saints, secured a thrilling victory against the Litchfield High School Dragons on December 13, 2024, with a nail-biting final score of 39-37. The game, held in Litchfield during the regular season, showcased a fierce defensive prowess by the Saints, particularly highlighted by the game-winning shot from Kody Tolefsrud in the closing seconds.

KMS led narrowly at halftime with a score of 19-18. The intense contest continued into the second half, culminating in Tolefsrud's crucial basket with just 4 seconds left on the clock, which ultimately sealed the victory for the Fighting Saints. Litchfield's attempt to tie the game was unsuccessful, with their final shot missing the mark and a subsequent put back occurring too late to change the outcome.

Kody Tolefsrud was the top scorer for KMS, contributing 12 points, including the decisive basket. Hunter Engelke also played a stellar role, scoring 8 points and dominating the boards with 9 rebounds. Coach Fragodt praised the team's performance, especially applauding the defensive effort. "It was a great defensive game for us. We had a strong game plan, and the boys executed it really well," Coach Fragodt commented.
