KMS Fighting Saints Edge Out a Narrow Victory Against Morris Tigers

In an intense regular season basketball encounter on December 6, 2024, the KMS Fighting Saints' 7th grade girls' team clinched a narrow 23-22 victory over the Morris Area Tigers. The game, held in Morris, saw both teams battling fiercely until the final buzzer, with KMS emerging victorious, improving their season record to an undefeated 2-0.

Layla Henry led the scoring for the Fighting Saints with 6 points, closely followed by Sela Kolling who contributed 5 points. Their efforts were instrumental in securing the win against a resilient Morris team. As the game progressed to its final minutes, the tension was palpable, with both teams displaying tremendous effort and sportsmanship.

With this victory, the KMS Saints are gearing up for their next challenge at the KMS High School on December 7, 2024. They will be hosting a tournament featuring teams from Rocori, Ortonville, Willmar, Litchfield, and CCS. This upcoming tournament will be a significant test for the Saints as they look to maintain their winning streak and showcase their growth as a team.

As the Fighting Saints continue their journey through the season, the support from KMS Schools and the community remains strong, cheering on these young athletes as they represent their school with pride and determination.
