KMS Fighting Saints JV Team Falls to RCW Jaguars in Intense Volleyball Battle

In a challenging regular season volleyball contest held on September 10, the KMS Fighting Saints JV team suffered a defeat against the RCW Jaguars with a score of 0-2. The match, hosted at the RCW, showcased both teams striving hard to dominate the court, yet it was the Jaguars who ultimately sealed the victory. The first set saw the Fighting Saints put up a decent battle but fell short with a score of 15-25. Spirited efforts continued in the second set, where the scoreline was incredibly close, ending in 26-28 in favor of RCW. This set was particularly notable for its competitive spirit and KMS’ ability to challenge RCW till the final points. The Fighting Saints’ notable players included Acelynn Hacker and Avery Magaard, who led the team with impressive kills. Kayleigh Finstrom made her presence felt at the net with crucial blocks, while the defensive prowess was showcased by Emily Holtkamp, Brooke Johnson, and Avery Magaard with significant digs. Brooke Johnson also contributed valuable assists throughout the match. Reflecting on the game, Coach Carlson of KMS commented, "I felt that our team played tough tonight. Our defense has improved and the girls adjusted as needed throughout the match."
