KMS Fighting Saints Secure Convincing Victory in Volleyball Clash Against YME Sting
In an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork, the KMS Fighting Saints JV volleyball team claimed a decisive win against the YME Sting on September 24, 2024, at YME High School. The Saints outmatched the Sting in a regular season event, sweeping the match with a final score of 2-0.
The Saints displayed dominant form right from the outset, taking the first set by a wide margin of 25-7. They continued their strong performance in the second set, wrapping it up 25-16. Notable performances were seen across the team with Acelynn Hacker, Taylor VanHeuveln, Avery Magaard, and Lily Kolling leading in kills, while Emma Gareis excelled in blocking. The defensive plays were equally impressive with Avery Magaard and Emily Holtkamp making significant contributions through digs. Aces were plentiful with Brooke Johnson, Acelynn Hacker, and Emma Gareis adding to the scoreboard.
Coach Carlson expressed deep satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, "I am proud of the way the girls played today. We were firing on all cylinders. We played consistent and were able to dominate the match. It was a good team win." The Saints' strategies and teamwork were particularly effective, allowing them to control the match from start to finish.
Looking ahead, the KMS Fighting Saints are set to face TMB on September 26, 2024, at their home court.
