KMS Fighting Saints Secure Victory Over BBE Jaguars in 8th Grade Football
MURDOCK, Sept 10 - The KMS Fighting Saints delivered an impressive performance on Tuesday, as they defeated the BBE Jaguars with a final score of 16-6 in their regular season encounter. The game, which took place in Murdock, saw the Fighting Saints bring their season record to 2-0. The first half concluded with the Fighting Saints leading 16-0, thanks to vital plays including a touchdown by Tucker Wilts after a 1-yard rush and a successful 2-point conversion carried by Eero Nelson. Nelson further boosted the team's score with a stunning 30-yard rush, followed by another successful 2-point conversion, this time connecting with Rex Nelson. The Jaguars, however, were unable to catch the Saints and added only 6 points in the second half. The Fighting Saints' strong defensive strategy was evident as Hayden Duke recovered a fumble, Brayden Nielsen secured an interception, and Kendrick Wright achieved a sack, all contributing significantly to the team's victory. Reflecting on the game, Coach DeBaere remarked, 'Great overall team game,' applauding the collective effort of his players. Looking forward, the KMS Fighting Saints are scheduled to face off against the MACCRAY Wolverines in Maynard on September 17.
