KMS Fighting Saints Volleyball Team Faces Defeat Against Minneota

In a challenging regular season volleyball event on September 12, 2024, the KMS Fighting Saints faced a tough loss against the Minneota Vikings at KMS High School. The varsity match concluded with a score of Minneota 3, KMS 0. From the start, the Vikings demonstrated strong play, securing wins in all three sets with scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-17. Despite a promising moment in the third set where KMS led 7-5, a series of unfortunate errors prevented them from maintaining an advantage, ultimately leading to Minneota's sweep. The Fighting Saints' roster saw notable performances despite the setback. Savannah Petersen, Maddie Luft, and Madison Silas each contributed three kills. Petersen and Silas also added crucial blocks to their stats. Defensively, Abby Holtkamp led the team with an impressive 16 digs, followed by Ava Noble with 12 and Emily Wagner with 8.
