KMS Schools Fighting Saints Excels in Recent Cross Country Events

The MN Middle School State Cross country meet was held on 10.25.25 at the Lower Rec Center in St. Michael, MN. Full results can be found here: Minnesota Middle School State Championships - Results - Cross Country Meet The KMS-Benson 7th and 8th graders that did not compete on the varsity team were in attendance and competed in the class A races. The girls team has been undefeated in Jr high all year, so their goal was to go out and win the State Championship. They ran extremely strong on a 3000m course (typical Jr high courses are 1/2 a 5k or about 2500m). Kayla Tolefsrud was 2nd, Libby Henry 3rd, Porsha Gravely 4th, Kenzlee Peters 11th, Alaina Lorenz 12th, Cadence Holmquist 13th, Ella Beyerl 35th out of 63 runners to earn the team title! Wyatt Hoff was the only KMS-Benson Boys to compete and he ran a spectacular race to earn 9th place and received a medal! (Top 10 received medals, top 3 teams received trophies) "I am so incredibly pleased with how this season turned out for the Jr high team and individuals. I am eagerly looking forward to next fall when we add some of these young ones to the varsity rosters." Coach VanHeuvlen On to the varsity state meet on November 1st for Alex Zurn!
