KMS/B Runners Excel in Recent Cross Country Events
Duluth results: https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/253506/results/all This was a VERY tough course. The kids said the hills were the biggest they had seen. The class A races were very competitive. Top 10 were awarded medals, Alex Zurn placed 8th. Minnewaska Invite results: https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/265244/results/all The course, while still quite hilly, was nothing compared to Swain and the kids all ran AMAZING! Top 10 were awarded medals in each race. Alex Zurn ran an extremely impressive race, beating some competitors that he has not been able to catch before and setting a new school record! The time he ran tonight of 16:43.4 bettered the school record previously set by Josh Bailey of 16:56.68 in 2016. The Jr high girls team remains undefeated. Libby Henry, Kayla Tollefsrud, Porsha Gravely, and Kenzlee Peters went 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th with Alaina Lorenze and Cadence Holmquist close behind in 12th and 13th and Sela Kolling rounding out the top 7 in 18th place overall. Every single athlete on the KMS/Benson team either ran a personal record (fastest time ever) or a season record (fastest time this season).
