The game began with Grace taking an early lead, with Maddy Poynter contributing significantly through free throws and layups, helping her team to a 12-point lead by the end of the first quarter. Despite early efforts from LaChelle Moreland-Jones, who scored a 3-pointer for the Blue Devils, Grace maintained their lead with a score of 22-10 by the quarter’s end. The second quarter saw Grace fortifying their advantage, ending the first half at 50-27.

The second half did not see a shift in momentum, as Grace continued to dominate both offensively and defensively. The third quarter concluded with a significant 77-49 lead for Grace. The Blue Devils’ attempts to rally were highlighted by Sydney Garon's 3-pointer, but these efforts were overshadowed by Grace’s consistent scoring. The fourth quarter ended even more unfavorably for the Blue Devils, with Grace's lead extending to 36 points at one stage, culminating in the final score of 112-78.

Noteworthy performances from the Blue Devils included Moreland-Jones, who led with 30 points, and Kate Jacobs, who was the team's top rebounder with 9 rebounds. However, the game ultimately highlighted Grace's superior scoring and defensive strategies which featured crucial turnovers and widespread utilization of their bench.

Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will meet Indiana University at South Bend on November 12, 2025, hoping to turn their season around. The game will be held in Southfield, MI, offering the Blue Devils a chance for redemption on their home court.
