Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils Fall in Close Volleyball Contest Against Marian (IN)

The Lawrence Tech University women's volleyball team, also known as the Blue Devils, faced a challenging encounter against Marian (IN) on August 22, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Ind. The intense battle concluded with the Blue Devils losing 1-3 in sets to Marian (IN).

The match commenced with Marian taking an early lead by winning the first set 25-18 against Lawrence Tech. Continuing their momentum, Marian managed to narrowly secure the second set as well, with a score of 25-20. However, Lawrence Tech showcased their resilience in the third set, overturning the game's momentum to win 25-17, signaling a potential comeback. The fourth set saw a fiercely contested game, ultimately ending in Marian's favor at 25-23, sealing their victory.

Key players for Lawrence Tech included Nya Matley, who exhibited an outstanding performance with 15 kills and 4 blocks. Sydney Eggleton also made significant contributions with 10 kills and topped the defense with 21 digs. Additionally, Charley Klint was effective both defensively, with 16 digs, and on service, scoring 2 aces. The assists were led by Dru Temple with 23, helping in setting up attacks throughout the match.
