Lawrence Tech University Women's Volleyball Secures Victory Against Lourdes
In a dominating performance, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils women's volleyball team clinched a decisive win against Lourdes on September 20, 2025. Competing in an away WHAC Conference event at Lourdes, the Blue Devils swept the sets, ending with a striking final score of 3-0.
The first set saw Lawrence Tech take a commanding lead, ending with a score of 25-13. Their momentum did not wane in the second set, where they again overpowered Lourdes 25-15. The third and final set was a closer contest, yet the Blue Devils maintained their superior form, finishing with a score of 25-22.
Key contributions came from multiple players. Maria Trevino nunez stood out with 14 kills, while Sydney Eggleton and Kyndal James added 10 and 7 kills respectively. In terms of blocks, Catelyn Chapin led with 5, supported by James with 2. The defense was robust with Dru Temple achieving 14 digs and both Trevino nunez and Lauren Peters reaching double digits in digs.
The serving was also a crucial factor in the win with Charley Klint and Sydney Eggleton both securing 3 aces. Assists were led by Dru Temple with a significant contribution of 29, helping to cement the team's collaborative effort in the victory.
