Basketball Secures District Championship Over Normandy
Magnificat Basketball clinched the OHSAA Division I District Championship by defeating Normandy by a decisive 58-23 score at Valley Forge High School. It was the programs 3rd consecutive District Title. Leading the scoring for Magnificat were seniors Reese Roggenburk with 19 points, closely followed by Julia Hall, who added 18 points, and Sofia Wilson, who contributed 9 points. By halftime, Magnificat had already established a commanding lead, with the score reading 38-12, setting the pace for the remainder of the contest. The win was the 8th straight for the Blue Streaks and advances them to the OHSAA Division I Regional Semifinal on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:00pm against Strongsville at Wadsworth High School.
