Magnificat High School Track and Field Blue Streaks Impress at NEOITC #3 Blue League Meet
The Magnificat High School Blue Streaks participated in the Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Track and Field Conference (NEOITC) #3 Blue League meet at Spire on Feb. 2. The event saw individual performances that showcased the talent and hard work of the Blue Streaks. In the running and racing events, Casey Ansberry earned herself consecutive top placements. She finished 3rd in the 60m dash and 4th in the 200m dash. Brooklyn Ramos-Kelly demonstrated her strength by placing 2nd in the 400m dash, while Mikaela Davala's 3rd place finish in the 800m run showcased the team's depth in distance events. The 4x400 relay, comprising Davala, Mariella Mayer, Jesse Vargo, and Megan Martin, claimed the 3rd place spot with a time of 4:21. Clare Egan added to the team's success by clinching victory in the high jump, clearing 4'10". The positive display of the Blue Streaks' ability was an inspiration to those in attendance. The team made an impact and indicated a promising future as they move ahead in the season.
