Magnificat celebrated senior night Monday with several first-place finishes and a school record performance, even as St. Joseph Academy claimed the team victory, 81-55, in Berea.

The Blue Streaks produced one of the meet’s signature moments in the 4x100-meter relay. Chloe Bibbo, Casey Ansberry, Harlan Laux and Kelly Karabatsos teamed up to win the event in a new school-record time of 49.51, a result that stood out as one of Magnificat’s top highlights of the night. The Blue Streaks also earned a relay win in the 4x800, where Kuhlman, Megan Martin, Liller and Corrigan finished first.

Martin added an individual victory in the 800-meter run, giving her two winning efforts on the evening. Nadia Zerepheh delivered another first-place finish for Magnificat by winning the discus, while Bibbo also claimed the pole vault title to cap a strong all-around night that included her role on the record-setting sprint relay.

Those results gave Magnificat several bright spots across the track and field events, particularly in the meet’s balance of relay depth and individual event success. The Blue Streaks’ winners came in distance, sprints, throws and field events, a broad showing that helped anchor the team score on a night built as much around recognition of seniors as competition.

Although St. Joseph Academy secured the overall win, Magnificat left the meet with tangible momentum from its event victories and the new 4x100 school mark. On a senior night that featured both celebration and production, the Blue Streaks had no shortage of standout performances to carry forward.
