Bowlers Qualify For State Tournament
The Magnificat Bowling team faced off at a critical competition on February 26th, contending in the OHSAA Division I District Tournament at Rebmon Recreation. The Blue Streaks finished in 8th place, but amidst the challenge, two of their team members managed to secure a spot in the upcoming state tournament. The District Tournament concluded with the Nordonia team clinching the Championship. However, it was a day of personal triumph for the Blue Streaks' own Dot Sayles and Julia Johnson. Junior Dot Sayles displayed impressive consistency, rolling her way to a 595 3-game series. Not to be outdone, sophomore Julia Johnson exhibited great prowess on the lanes, earning a 542 3-game series. These standout performances from both Sayles and Johnson secured their qualification for the OHSAA Division I State Tournament. Looking ahead, the two Magnificat bowlers will continue their season in the State Tournament on Saturday, March 9th at 10:45am at HPL Bowling Center in Columbus.
