Bowling Makes History By Capturing Sectional Championship
Magnificat Bowling clinched the OHSAA Division I Sectional Championship held at Rebman Recreation with a pin total of 3,535 pins. The Sectional Title is the first in school history. The triumph was highlighted by outstanding performances from several athletes. Senior Dot Sayles led the pack as the Tournament Medalist, bowling a remarkable 594 series. Close behind her, sophomore Eleanor Zbiegien and junior Ella Smith each bowled a 517 series, adding significant scores to the team's total. Further contributions came from juniors Julia Johnson with a 464 series and Ashley Hohmann with a 446 series, ensuring the team's dominating win. The Blue Streaks advance to the OHSAA Division I District Tournament on Monday, February 24th at Roseland Lanes at 10:00am with a goal of gaining a spot in the OHSAA Division I State Tournament.
