Blue Streaks' fans at the Karnatz Family Field witnessed the team's 15-10 win in a sun-soaked afternoon, propelling the Magnificat squad into its first-ever program victory over Massillon Jackson. The first half was a tightly contested battle, with the Polar Bears leading 7-6 heading into the break. However, the Blue Streaks seized control in the second half, outlasting their opponents and rallying to win the game. Senior Stella Frain's hat trick highlighted her pivotal role for the Blue Streaks, and her game-winning goal was a defining moment as she found the back of the net in spectacular fashion to give Magnificat an 11-10 lead late in the third quarter. Sophomore Grace Quinn once again contributed to the scoreboard with 6 goals for the contest. Adding to the team's tally, freshman Mary Connor displayed exceptional teamwork, finding the net three times. Quinn's strong performance wasn't only about goals; she also provided a crucial assist during the game. The maneuvering of Magnificat's star trio, combined with the goalkeeping acumen of sophomore Olivia Brugnoni, who delivered 11 saves, proved to be a formidable force on individual and team levels. Beyond the individual accolades, this important victory was emblematic of the steady progress and strengthening of the Magnificat Lacrosse program. The team's offensive prowess, combined with a resolute defense, brought the Blue Streaks to a momentous win, while marking only the second time in the school's history that the girls' varsity lacrosse team has advanced this far in the postseason.
