Lacrosse Takes Care Of Cleveland Heights 20-7 In Regional Playoff Contest

Magnificat Lacrosse delivered a 20-7 victory against Cleveland Heights in an OHSAA Division I Regional Second Round playoff contest. With home support fueling their performance at Karnatz Family Field @ Magnificat HS, the Blue Streaks took the lead from early in the game after being tied 2-2. Scoring was led by senior Kristina Fedorova, who netted a total of 6 goals, closely followed by freshman Mary Connor with 4 goals and senior Stella Frain and sophomore Grace Quinn with 3 goals each. Quinn also showcased her playmaking ability with 3 assists, while Frain also contributed with 2 significant assists. In goal, Sophomore Olivia Brugnoni denied the Tigers with 9 saves. By halftime, the Blue Streaks already had a firm lead, with a score of 13-4. The victory advances the Blue Streaks to a record of 14-5 for the season, setting the stage for a May 22nd game at 5:30pm on the same field against Massillon Jackson.
