NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio - Kalli Sdrakas converted Teagan Mulloy’s right-wing service at the 24:09 mark of the first half, giving Magnificat the decisive advantage in a 5-0 victory over rival Saint Joseph Academy on Wednesday at Victory Sports Park. Sdrakas finished the chance decisively to begin a commanding performance in front of a large rivalry crowd.
The Blue Streaks controlled possession through sharp passing and generated consistent pressure, but carried only a 1-0 lead into halftime. Moira Chambers and the Magnificat defense remained composed whenever Saint Joseph Academy tried to counter, while goalkeeper Lydia Hamad completed the clean sheet. Chambers, Hamad and Sdrakas delivered standout performances at the heart of the victory.
Magnificat broke the match open with four goals in the second half. With 36:49 remaining, Sophia Zbawiony collected a deflection and drove a well-placed shot into the left side of the goal. Sdrakas created the third goal at the 14:06 mark, breaking free before sending a crossing pass to Lexi Hradek, who smashed her finish into the right side.
Zbawiony struck again with 11:52 remaining, delivering a precise blast from the right wing that zipped past the goalkeeper for a 4-0 lead. The Blue Streaks completed the scoring at the 4:03 mark when Kealey Campbell made a strong run down the right side and played the ball across the field. Magnificat’s Caroline Hildebrandt collected the pass in stride on the left and slipped the final goal into the net. Three outstanding goals are captured on video below, along with great action shots.
The result gave Magnificat’s 14 seniors a victory over the program’s No. 1 rival in their final regular-season meeting. The Blue Streaks will next face Avon at 5:45 p.m. EDT Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at Karnatz Family Field at Magnificat High.
